Scope
Third-party testing list: Bunk beds intended for use by children (entrapment hazards), except those made only for institutional use; facilities for children under 6 are not institutions.
Certificate and testing
- The rule is not on CPSC's list of rules requiring a General Certificate of Conformity.
- Third-party testing by a CPSC-accepted lab applies for children's products, with a Children's Product Certificate.
